Former FWPD Chief Fitzgerald To Become PD Chief In Iowa Town

(Fort Worth, TX) — Former Fort Worth Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald will soon start his new job as the chief of police in a small town in Iowa.

The Waterloo City Council is scheduled to ratify Fitzgerald’s position next Monday. Fitzgerald will be the first African-American to hold the position in Waterloo. Fitzgerald says his lawsuit against the city of Fort Worth over whistleblower claims is still ongoing.
