(Colleyville, TX) —  The mayor of Colleyville is defying state orders by reopening restaurants this week.

The tables in Colleyville eateries will be spaced apart starting Friday.  People can also visit salons, gyms, and massage therapists.  Mayor Richard Newton is also allowing elective surgeries and gatherings of ten people or fewer, and says churches are allowed to reopen as well.

Gov. Greg Abbott is still deciding if businesses will open statewide on Monday.
