Beaumont Mayor Gets Busted At Nail Salon

(Beaumont, TX) — Beaumont Mayor Becky Ames is denying she got a manicure this week despite the stay-at-home order.

Ames says a photo showing her at a nail salon is real, but she was only there to get an old manicure set removed. Ames also says she only put her fingers in a solution to learn how to remove the nails. The mayor adds she understands why people would be angry, but promises she did nothing wrong.

Nail salons were ordered to close in late March due to the coronavirus outbreak.
