(Granbury, Tx) – A reported kidnapping attempt of two Acton girls last Thursday, apparently wasn’t real.

According to the Hood County Sheriff’s Office the alleged abduction about noon Thursday in Eastwood Village didn’t really happen.  The Hood County News reports A mother said on social media that her daughter saw a man try to drag her sister into a car near their home.  “The girls came back to me running screaming legs covered in blood from running through thorns to get away,” the mother wrote on Facebook.

The sheriff’s office took two men into custody for questioning but released them after an impartial witness reported a different story, according to sheriff’s office.
