(College Station, TX) — Texas A&M University officials plan to reopen in the fall, and they say they’ll be ready for football season.
A&M System Chancellor John Sharp said all eleven of their campuses plan to reopen, which includes Tarleton State University in Stephenville. A&M lost almost 20-million dollars in revenue after shutting down in March although it did get federal financial aid. School officials say they’re busy taking precautions to protect students and staff.
Texas Tech is making similar plans. TCU also plans to reopen this Fall, but say budget cuts are needed. The University of Texas and Baylor haven’t announced their plans.
