(Fort Worth, TX) — Six people are in custody after a raid on a Fort Worth home led to the discovery of a cockfighting ring.
Officers responded to a noise complaint at a home on Burton Avenue and found 20 cars parked outside, and a crowd in the backyard. Police say the entire scene was centered around a rooster-fighting ring, where at least nine dead roosters were recovered. More than 40 birds were confiscated from the home.
The six arrested included two homeowners and three spectators.
