Allen West Released From Hospital After Weekend Traffic Accident

(Austin, TX) — Allen West, a candidate for chair of the Texas GOP, is out of the hospital after being injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday.

West was released on Monday, two days after suffering a concussion and broken bones in the accident near Waco.

The former Florida congressman and retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, had just spoken at the Texas Freedom Rally at the Capitol in Austin on Saturday when a car reportedly cut in front of him on I-35 and caused him to crash.
