FW Motel Clerk Okay After Being Set Ablaze

(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth motel clerk is expected to be okay after someone set him on fire.

Firefighters say the suspect went into the Budget Host Inn on Tanacross near Northeast Loop 820 late Sunday and tried to rob the victim before squirting some kind of clear liquid at him. The man then set the liquid ablaze causing minor burns to the clerk and major damage to the motel’s business office.

The suspect had long hair, a ball cap, T-shirt, and was last seen fleeing in white Honda Accord.
