(Austin, TX) — Pro sports fans will be allowed to attend outdoor events in Texas starting today, according to Gov. Greg Abbott’s revised order of a week ago.
Sports leagues first are required to submit a plan to the Texas Department of State Health Services that includes a health protocol guide from the agency. Fans are allowed only in outdoor venues that provide seating at 25% capacity or less.
Fans still aren’t allowed at indoor sports events just yet. The relaxed restrictions also exclude several West Texas counties.
