Vandals Hit Fort Worth Memorial To Fallen Police And Firefighters

(Fort Worth, TX) — An investigation is underway after somebody vandalized a memorial for fallen Fort Worth police officers and firefighters.

The memorial is in Fort Worth Trinity Trails Park just off West 7th Street. The stone markers, granite walls and sidewalks were covered with insulting spray-painted graffiti. Police say it appears to have been done just before 4 a.m. Monday.

Volunteers who heard about the mess showed up with power washers and brushes to help clean up.
