(Fort Worth, Tx) – Fort Worth Police have posted an update on the condition of an officer that was struck by the driver of a stolen vehicle over the weekend.
In a post on Facebook, Fort Worth PD said the unidentified officer has undergone several surgeries in the past few days and is now in stable condition. The officer was struck Saturday morning on the North Freeway, while attempting to deploy a stop stick device during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
The suspect, 38-year-old Ronnie Jackson Jr. was arrested for criminal attempted capital murder and evading arrest with a vehicle.
The department thanked everyone for their concern and support.
