Fort Worth PD Dispute FNC Report On Protest

(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth police are disputing a Fox News Channel report suggesting they let violent protesters off the hook for a May 31st demonstration.

The department says all they did was drop charges which did not involve property or personal crime. Fort Worth PD also noted it was inaccurate to suggest Police Chief Ed Kraus blamed officers for what happened on May 31st saying all it does is create confusion and bitterness.

Kraus did say on June 8th he would drop all charges for rioting while also noting anyone who protested and was arrested for assault, criminal mischief, vandalism, and theft would still face prosecution.
