Officials Consider Whether State Fair Will Happen This Year

(Dallas, TX) — Officials with the State Fair of Texas say they’ll decide sometime next month whether the annual event will take place this year.

The board of directors say they’re keeping an eye on the latest information from experts amid the ongoing pandemic and the constantly changing guidelines for public events. If the fair opens this year, officials say it will involve limits on daily attendance, pre-purchased tickets, health screenings at the entrance, and social distancing.

The scheduled time for the fair is late September through mid-October.
