2020 State Fair Of Texas Canceled Due To Coronavirus

(Dallas, TX) — The State Fair of Texas will not happen this year.

The Board of Directors announced the cancellation of the Fair today citing the coronavirus pandemic and the need to keep workers, fairgoers, and the community safe. Board Chair Gina Norris says it’s the safest and most responsible decision.

The Texas-OU and Grambling-Prairie View A&M football games could still happen inside the Cotton Bowl, but the Fair says that’s up to the NCAA and schools.

The Fair was last canceled during World War Two.
