Online Petition Calls For Fort Hood Closer Due To Murder Case

(Austin, TX) — A petition is calling for Fort Hood to close over the murder of Vanessa Guillen.

The petition is directed to President Trump and members of Congress. The authors of the petition claim that Fort Hood Army CID and base command lied about details of the case and didn’t take Guillen’s disappearance on April 22nd seriously until her mom made demands for action online weeks later.

The 20-year-old soldier was killed by another soldier on the day of her disappearance. Her remains were found last week. One person has been charaged in the case.

As of yesterday, the petition had nearly 7,000 signatures.
