Bodies Of Two Fishermen Recovered From Possum Kingdom Lake

(Palo Pinto, TX) – Officials with Texas Parks and Wildlife are reporting the recovery of the bodies of two missing fishermen from Possum Kingdom Lake over the weekend.

Three 19-year-old men reportedly from the Fort Worth area jumped into the water near the dam, to retrieve a cell phone, and got swept away late Thursday night. One of the teens made it to shore, but the other two didn’t resurface. Texas Game Wardens, along with Hood County Sheriff and DPS crews found one of the bodies on Saturday night and the other early Sunday evening.

The names of the two drowned men haven’t been released.
