(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth ISD plans to reopen its campuses for the new school year with both in-person and virtual options available from the start.
District officials are announcing a start date of August 17th, with all state guidelines being followed with everyone wearing face coverings along with more spread out desks and barriers. It’s one of the earliest proposed start dates so far, but subject to change if Tarrant County orders the district to delay its start date. Fort Worth ISD says more than 19,000 students are enrolled for the fall. Just over half of them are choosing in-person instruction.
Parents need to complete enrollment for virtual classes by August 3rd. Students will be allowed to transfer from virtual to in-person or vice versa at the end of each grading period.
