(Dallas, TX) — A project to study the use of thermal screening cameras as a pandemic safety measure gets underway next month at Dallas Love Field.

The airport and Southwest Airlines are teaming up on a project to study the use of the cameras to check the temperatures of departing passengers.  Airport officials say starting in August, the cameras will be in position near TSA security checkpoint lines.

A Beaumont-based company will provide the cameras.
