Waiting Game Continues For Cowboys Coach

(Frisco, TX) — It’ll probably be early August before new Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy will meet with his entire team for the first time.

With pandemic protocols requiring players to test negative twice within a four-day span, it will be several days before everybody is cleared. The players union has proposed a 21-day strength and conditioning before full-bore practicing.

The team website says that would leave McCarthy with 10 practices with pads before opening the season on September 6th at the LA Rams.
