Long-Term Effect Of Coronavirus: Hair Loss

(San Antonio, TX) — Doctors say the coronavirus pandemic is leading to hair loss.

Dr. Fred Campbell with the UT Health San Antonio says hair loss is caused when stress-related hormones change the normal hair growth cycle.

He says it’s not permanent, so coronavirus patients can expect their hair to grow back within a few months.
