(Arlington, TX) — A black cat that was wounded with an arrow is helping educate Arlington residents about animal cruelty.

Somebody called the police on July 31st to report a stray cat with an arrow through his body.  Witnesses said a man shot the cat with a crossbow.  Police arrested 40 year old Tommy Wayne Hastings last Thursday for animal cruelty.  Luckily, the arrow did not hit any vital organs.  Veterinarians operated on the cat, now named Robin, and saved his life.

Robin has a permanent home as Arlington’s official Animal Services shelter cat, helping educate people about animal cruelty.
