(Fort Worth, TX)  —  The pandemic-related mask mandate in Tarrant County will be in effect until the end of November.

County officials extended the order on Tuesday despite four-weeks of downward trends in the number of coronavirus cases and the positivity rate.  Health officials say the upcoming Labor Day weekend could be a problem.

The numbers of cases and deaths spiked after the 4th of July and Memorial Day weekends.
