(Austin, TX) — Gov. Greg Abbott says any necessary rescues after Hurricane Laura passed through east Texas will start today.
Abbott says the state’s rescue fleet includes 400 buses, 60 ambulances, 82 boats, 38 planes, and a couple of high-water rescue vehicles.
The governor added three more Texas counties to the state’s disaster declaration, including Camp, Ellis and Tarrant counties. Ellis and Tarrant are providing shelter sites for evacuees.
