(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Some North Texas residents are cleaning up after severe weekend storms damaged homes and businesses.

The storms swept through Tarrant, Parker, and Wise Counties on Saturday night, damaging and destroying buildings near the towns of Briar and Azle.

The National Weather Service says there are no indications of a tornado, and that the damage was done by a powerful downburst with winds of 70 to 80 mph.  Nearly three-dozen RVs were heavily damaged or overturned in one area.  Six people suffered minor injuries.

Lightening is also believed to be the cause of two large wildfires at Possum Kingdom Lake.
