(Alvord, TX) — A North Texas school district closed down Tuesday following two positive coronavirus tests.
Alvord ISD said they had to clean and disinfect both the middle and high schools after two students who participated in a high school football workout on Monday, contracted the virus. The district says local health officials will contact any students, staff, and teachers who may have been exposed. Classes did resume today after all of the affected areas were sanitized.
Alvord ISD serves parts of Wise and Montague counties.
