FWPD Officer Fired After Racially Insensitive Facebook Post

(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth police officer is out of a job because of a meme he posted on his personal Facebook page.

Officer Roger Ballard was suspended indefinitely on Thursday after an internal affairs investigation.

The police department fielded a number of complaints about the post, which has since been taken down. It featured a photo of a black man in a casket, along with the caption, “The face you make when you don’t understand ‘stop resisting.'”
