(Washington, DC) — President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are in quarantine at the White House after testing positive for the coronavirus.
Trump announced the news late last night after top aide Hope Hicks tested positive for Covid-19. Hicks traveled with the President to Tuesday’s debate in Cleveland and a campaign rally in Minnesota. The President said on Twitter that they will “get through this TOGETHER!”
The White House issued a statement that the President is expected “to continue carrying out his duties without disruption.”
Vice President Mike Pence and his wife are testing negative for the coronavirus. They took tests this morning after President Trump and the First Lady tested positive last night. Pence is last known to have been with the President on Tuesday when they met in the Oval Office.
