Abbott: National Guard Troops Will Not Interfere With Election Process

(Houston, TX) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott is promising National Guard troops will not interfere in the election process.

Abbott told reporters Wednesday the troops would be sent to cities just in case any potential protests turn into riots. The governor says any decision on where to deploy Guardsmen will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Abbott adds the troops will not be at polls.
