Suspect Indicted In 1974 Cold-Case Murder Of Teen

(Fort worth, TX) — A suspect is now under indictment for a cold case murder from nearly 50-years ago.

A Tarrant County Grand Jury indicted 77-year-old Glen McCurley for the capital murder of Carla Jan Walker. The 17-year-old victim was a junior at Western Hills High School when she was abducted, raped, and murdered after a Valentine’s Day dance in 1974.

DNA evidence finally led investigators to McCurley, and police arrested him in Fort Worth in September. McCurley denies everything.
