Fort Worth Murderer Gets Execution Date For 1999 Killing

(Fort Worth, TX) — An execution date is now set for a Fort Worth man who beat his grandmother to death with a baseball bat more than 20-years ago.

A judge has set May 19th, 2021, as the date 41-year old Quintin Jones will receive a lethal injection. Jones murdered his grandmother, Berthena Bryant, in 1999. After a jury convicted him and sentenced him to die, the case made its way through appeals courts for the next 19-years.

In March, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Jones’s appeal.
