Cook Children’s Hospital Nurse Practitioner Participates In Virus Vaccine Trial

(Fort Worth, TX) — A nurse practitioner at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth is one of the 30,000 participants in Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine trial.

Christi Thornhill received her two injections in September and October. Moderna says the vaccine is more than 94% effective, but it’s not known for how long.

The state says Cook Children’s will receive more than 4,800 doses of the Pfizer vaccine when it arrives in Texas next week.
