(Austin, TX)  —  A Texas Hill Country lawmaker wants the Lone Star State to become its own country. 

State Representative Kyle Biedermann of Fredericksburg, says he will file legislation that would put secession up for a vote.  In a post on Facebook, Biedermann claims that the federal government is out of control and does not represent the values of Texans. 

He says his “Texit” movement is inspired by Britain’s departure from the European Union, which was dubbed Brexit.
