(Fort Worth, TX) —  The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the death of one of its lieutenants from the coronavirus.

The department says 50-year-old Lt. Craig King contracted the virus in early November and died Saturday.  He had been with the sheriff’s office since 2003 and was promoted to lieutenant last year.  Other local law enforcement officials are struggling with the virus.

Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn tested positive last month, and Fort Worth Police Chief Ed Kraus tested positive on Friday.
