(Weatherford, Tx) – A Fort Worth man convicted of killing 4 Brock girls in a drunk driving crash 22 years ago is now a free man.

62 year old Rickey Carter has been released from prison last month, after serving a 20 year sentence on four counts of Intoxication Manslaughter.  The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports that Carter returned to live in the Fort Worth area.

On the night of Dec. 19, 1998, Carter was drunk when his pick-up slammed head on into a car carrying the four Brock High School students 15 year old Mandi McWhorter, 16 yr old Staci Lee, 16 year old Whitney Welch and 17 yr old Lacey Osina on the Ranger Hwy in Weatherford.

Parker County prosecutors allowed the four 20 year sentences to be served concurrently.
