(Fort Worth, TX)  —  The troubled Boeing 737 Max is back in commercial service in the U.S. for the first time in nearly two-years.

American Airlines Flight 718 took off from Miami and landed in New York City.  The 737 Max was grounded in March 2019 after two crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia killed nearly 350 people.  Boeing has been working on changes to make the jet safer, and the FAA approved the changes last month.

Fort Worth-based American Airlines has 31 of the 737 Max jets in its fleet and another 69 on order.
