FW Mayor Not Seeking Re-Election

(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is not seeking re-election.

She announced the decision Tuesday saying she would spend more time with her family after ten years in office. Price says her family wanted her to stop being mayor two years ago, but she decided to seek one last term. She promises the coronavirus pandemic had nothing to do with her decision.

The 71-year-old didn’t say what her future would entail, but did not rule out a run for another political office.
