(Burleson, Tx) – A Fort Worth woman has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for tasing and robbing an elderly woman in a Burleson shopping center parking lot.

According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, in November 2019, 21-year-old Nakayla Wright tased the 71-year-old woman in the back when she got out of her car, stole victim’s purse and then used her credit card to buy $360 worth of merchandise, including a television and cigarettes.  Last month, Wright plead guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery.

Two others are awaiting trial in the case.
