(San Antonio, TX)  —  Valentine’s Day is just weeks away, and one jewelry firm wanted to know the love language in every state.

Shane Company used Google Trends search data to discover each state’s result.  It turns out, clusters of states seem to appreciate the same things.  People in the Midwest like physical touch, the Pacific Northwest prefers quality time, while those living in the Southwest value acts of service.  However here in Texas, we prefer getting gifts.

The term “love language” was coined by author Gary Chapman in the 90’s with his book, “The Five Love Languages:  How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate.”
