
(Cleburne, Tx) – The Facility Advisory Committee for Cleburne ISD is making a recommendation for a May bond referendum which includes major renovations to Wheat Middle School, and also Smith Middle School, in its future use as an intermediate campus serving students in grades five and six.
The Cleburne Times Review reports the recommendation also calls for upgrades to campus safety and security, instructional and district technology, a major renovation to the interior of the Don Smith Performing Arts Center and the construction of a student activity center at the high school.
The cost of the bond proposal totals $90,730,934 with no increase to the current tax rate. Trustees are now reviewing the recommendation before next month’s meeting.
