(Hood County, Tx) – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has officially ruled the death of a man in Hood County last month as an animal attack.
The body of 28-year-old Christopher Whiteley was found in a wooded area of Lipan on December 3rd. At the time, Hood County authorities felt Whiteley had been killed by a Mountain Lion. However, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department disagreed, saying there were no reports of Mountain Lions in Hood County.
The medical examiner released the autopsy report Tuesday, concluding the man’s death was an accident due to “injuries of the neck, due to animal attack”.
