(Fort Worth, Tx) – TCU Trustees are considering removing one a well-known Alum from their board.
The move is a reaction to Congressman Roger Williams objection to the certification of some of President Joe Biden’s electoral votes. The TCU Faculty Senate will consider a resolution next month to remove Williams. It says in part that Williams’ objections undermined the university’s mission “to educate individuals to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community.”
Williams has said he objected to the results due to a desire to make sure last year’s election was “free and fair.” He believes politics is a factor in the request to remove him from the board.
Williams is well known to the TCU community, as a former student who played baseball for and later coached the Horned Frogs. Williams owns a Weatherford car dealership and has represented Texas’ 25th Congressional District for eight years. The district stretches from Johnson County to Austin.
