(Denton, TX) — Denton County officials are reporting good results from the first day of operations of a vaccination hub at Texas Motor Speedway.
Health leaders say about 91-hundred people were vaccinated on Tuesday, with an average 20-minute pass through time from arrival to departure. The total is a tad shy of the ten-thousand that had been hoped for, but county officials expect more than 30,000 people to be vaccinated at the site by the end of this week.
The speedway is the largest drive-thru vaccination site in Texas, and may be the biggest in the nation, even surpassing the site at Dodger Stadium.
