(Fort Worth, TX) — Tarrant County leaders are stating that the county isn’t prepared to deal with the delivery of a large number of vaccine doses.

They acknowledge that the county needs more doses, but right now, there aren’t enough staff to administer them.  More than half a million people have registered with the county for a vaccination.  About 160,000 have been vaccinated, while another 343,000 are still on the waiting list.

Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley says more vaccination sites are needed than the four that are open.
