(Dallas, TX) — The coronavirus hospitalization rate in North Texas is below 16% for the first time since early December.
The rate dropped below that level on Saturday. It’s still above the 15-percent threshold in Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order that would allow certain reopening restrictions to be lifted.
Health officials says the gradual decline indicates the surge of the holiday season is now over, and hope the Super Bowl doesn’t result in a mini-spike.
