(Fort Worth, TX)  —  A three-year veteran of the Fort Worth Police is out of a job for violating the department’s policies concerning use of social media.

Police officials stated Tuesday that former Officer Chadwick Hughes had been placed on restricted duty late last month pending the outcome of an investigation.  A fellow officer had called some “racially insensitive and inappropriate” posts to the attention of the Internal Affairs Unit.

An investigation found that Hughes had made the posts, and he has been fired.
