(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Tarrant County is handing the distribution of the coronavirus vaccine over to the UNT Health Science Center.

County officials announced the multi-million-dollar deal on Tuesday.  Just last week, County Judge Glen Whitley said the county would need help distributing the vaccines once more doses became available.  So far more than 212,000 doses have been administered.

Health officials say nearly 2% of the county’s population has received both doses, and 8% has received one-dose.
