(Mineral Wells, Tx) – A boil water notice has been issued for customers of Sturdivant Progress Water Supply Corporation in Mineral Wells. 

Due to a reduction in water pressure, Sturdivant says customers need to boil their water for two minutes before consumption, washing hands and brushing teeth.  Water system officials will notify customers when it’s safe to drink and no longer necessary to boil the water. 

Below freezing temperatures have caused multiple pumps and pipes to freeze causing the loss in water pressure, this mainly affects customers south of the Village Bend Rd. main pumping station, south of Mineral Wells. 

Sturdivant says it may be Friday before they’re able to restore some of the water pressure.
