(Dallas, TX) — Utility crews are working around the clock restoring power to millions of Texans this morning as power demand is expected to increase because of the bitter cold.
Officials with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas — or ERCOT — say the rotating outages will likely continue until the weather emergency ends. Utility officials ask residents to conserve power as much as possible over the next few days while the storm puts pressure on the power grid.
Crews had restored power to more than half-million residents by yesterday afternoon.
