(Denton, TX) — Most North Texas residents are now under a boil-water notice or at least a conservation warning.
Parts of ten North Texas cities are under a boil-water notice due to rolling power outages. People living in the northern part of Fort Worth, along with Haslet, Keller, Lake Worth, Northlake, Roanoke, Saginaw, Southlake, Trophy Club, and Westlake, are asked to bring water to a full boil for at least two minutes before drinking it or using it for cooking or brushing teeth. The notice affects more than 220-thousand people.
Other Cities that have issued boil-water alerts include Mineral Wells, Springtown, Arlington, Kennedale and Denton.
Dallas hasn’t issued a boil-water notice, but there may be one in the works. Houston, the largest city in Texas, and Austin, the state capital, have both issued boil-water notices.
The North Texas Municipal Water District has issued a conservation warning for the several cities it serves.
