(Austin, TX) — Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is saying kind words about conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who died Wednesday from lung cancer at the age of 70.
Patrick issued a statement in which he said he and Rush started out together 33 years ago, when Rush had a new show and Patrick had a new radio station in Houston. He said Limbaugh had attracted an audience to the station and to Patrick’s own show, without which he wouldn’t have ended up as Lieutenant Governor.
Former President George W Bush released a statement on the passing of Limbaugh saying “He spoke his mind as a voice for millions”
